Meet Your Immigration Team

Attorney Vanessa Caruso

Principal Attorney

Vanessa E. Caruso

Vanessa Caruso is the founder of Caruso Law Group, LLC and has dedicated her legal career to helping individuals and families navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration system. Licensed to practice law since 2014, she has focused exclusively on immigration law since 2015.

Her practice includes removal defense, asylum and humanitarian protection, family-based immigration, citizenship, and hardship waivers. She has extensive experience representing individuals facing complex immigration challenges, including those seeking protection in the United States and those fighting to remain with their families.

For Vanessa, practicing immigration law is about more than navigating legal procedures. She values the relationships she develops with her clients and takes the time to understand their circumstances, concerns, and goals. She recognizes that every immigration case involves real people and often carries consequences that extend far beyond the individual client.

Vanessa particularly values the opportunity to help clients work through difficult and seemingly overwhelming situations. She approaches each case with careful attention to detail, thoughtful legal analysis, and a willingness to explore available options, even when the path forward is not immediately clear. Her approach is straightforward and personal, grounded in the belief that clients deserve honest guidance, meaningful communication, and an attorney who genuinely cares about the outcome of their case.

Before founding Caruso Law Group, Vanessa gained experience in both private practice and federal government service, including serving as an Attorney Advisor with the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission and practicing with McMorrow Law and May Law Group.

Vanessa earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, graduating cum laude.

At the heart of her practice is a simple commitment: to treat every client with respect, understand what matters most to them, and help them navigate some of life’s most challenging circumstances.

Helping You Find a Way Forward

Immigration law is complicated, and the answers are not always simple. Some matters are straightforward; others involve difficult circumstances, unexpected obstacles, or significant uncertainty.

We approach those challenges with careful preparation and practical guidance. We explore the legal options, explain both the possibilities and the limitations, and help you make informed decisions about the next steps. We recognize the responsibility that comes with being trusted to help with matters that can shape your family’s future.

You’re More Than a Case to Us

The relationships we build are one of the most meaningful parts of our work. We share in our clients’ milestones and recognize the worries and uncertainty that can accompany the immigration process.

Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, kindness, and respect, regardless of where they come from or the circumstances that brought them to our office. At Caruso Law Group, we take our work seriously without losing sight of the people behind it.
